All you've ever wanted to know about The Sonic Banana Cabaret!

Our End-of-Year Show has become an End-of-the-Pier show – with our summer showcase set at the seaside! We’d love you to join us, dressed for the beach (no, not in your bikini!) – but shorts, sandals, colourful shirts, vests, big straw hats and sunglasses!

We’re concentrating on fun and music – no heavy dramas and no weepies – and we’re pushing the boat out, in cabaret-style – with tables and chairs around a seaside pier! Our ‘Lighthouse Bar’ will be in the room – so no need to wait for the interval to get a drink! There’s a limited number of tables which seat 4–6 – so book yours soon!

Performances : to accommodate our film crew, we’ve had to re-schedule the show to 7.30pm on Saturday 18th July – with a matinée at 3pm on Sunday 19th July. Dress Rehearsal will be during our normal Saturday morning (18th), extended to 2pm, for all age groups.

Box Office : Tickets are £10 for adults and £7.50 for children (sorry, no concessions). Cabaret tables are for up to 6 people and may be shared, so please book early. Book with us on 01580 715831 or email us at: theacademystageschool@gmail.com – with details of adults/children and which performance.

Production Fee : Most of the ticket money goes on theatre hire and staffing the event. We recycle a lot of our costumes, but there’s always something more needed; so to help with these costs and the staging of the show, we need to ask for your help again, with a  £15 production fee. Soon as possible, but please keep it separate from any term fees, or our accountant will shoot us!

Awards : The week after the show (25th July) it’s our Academy Awards event. We’d like to invite you along at 12 noon, to round off the year with our Awards, Reports and Certificates – maybe some surprises! It’d be really useful if you’d let us know if you’re planning to stay with us next September.

Tentertainment!  But before all that, we’re at this year’s Tentertainment – Tenterden’s own music festival in the park – on Saturday 4th July; we need to meet at 9am to get ready for a 10am performance, when we’ll preview songs from Sonic Banana, and hopefully, a reprise of our LesMis set.

Thankyou for lending us your wonderful children every week, and to all the lovely volunteers who are going to help with the show (even if they don’t know it yet!)
We’ll moving in and setting up at 4pm Friday 17th July. Anyone?
